ZONING PERMITS:
Permits are required for many ordinances within the Borough (please see the list below). Applications for permits may be picked up at the Lawrenceville Borough office or downloaded below. The office is located at 6 Mechanic Street; office hours are Tuesday – Thursday – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Applications must be submitted with proper drawings (if applicable) and a generalized material list. The application fee must accompany the completed application.
The official permit MUST be acquired BEFORE any work can begin; if work begins before the permit is issued, penalties may apply.

Fence – $30.00
Demolition – $30.00
Sign – $50.00
Excavation (digging 6 inches below grade) – $50.00
Fill (above grade) – $50.00
Sidewalk – $50.00
Accessory Building or structure over 256 sq. ft. – $50.00
Accessory Building or structure less than 256 sq. ft. – $30.00
Zoning permit – $50.00
Certificate of Occupancy – $25.00
Variances – $40.00
Swimming Pools – $50.00 (see also “Uniform Construction Requirements for Pools” document)
Pavement – $50.00
Altering buildings or homes – $50.00

BUILDING PERMITS:
The Borough of Lawrenceville has adopted the New Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC). Any resident of the Borough who wishes to build, remodel, renovate, or change the use of a structure MUST obtain a building permit PRIOR to the start of work. Permits are required for all work other than ordinary repairs.
Erb Inspections will serve as the enforcement agency for the Borough of Lawrenceville. Building Permit Applications can be downloaded from the Erb website below.
Residents must obtain a Zoning Permit from the Borough of Lawrenceville before Erb Inspections can issue a Building Permit.
